More then thirty years of debate, and the controversy remains as polarised as ever. This website (to be fair - whose maintainer is anti-nuclear) collects news about nuclear power in Europe, sorted by nuclear power plant, type of power plant, country etc.

On 14th March 2015 Italian border control detected increased radiation levels at an Austrian railcar at the Austrian border station. The railcar transported scrap metal. Austrian radiation experts found a Cs-137 category 4 source with 2.5 GBq activity. The shutter of the source container was partly open. The radiation source was secured and transported to the Central Austrian Waste Management Facility at Seibersdorf.
The owner of the Cs-137 source was identified by the responsible Austrian authority.
Hungary said Monday that the EU's nuclear body Euratom has signed a fuel supply agreement, clearing the way for Russia to build the extension of the country's sole nuclear plant.
Under the deal -- agreed with Euratom at the end of March -- Russia will be able to supply fuel for two new reactors at the Paks plant in central Hungary over a 10-year period.
PARIS — Anti-nuclear groups have filed a court complaint against French utility EDF for under-reporting an incident at its Fessenheim plant near the German border, they said on Tuesday.

On 11 April, 2014, TEPCO found that the level of contaminated water in the Central Waste Building unnaturally fell down although the contaminated water was not transferred to other places, and on
13 April, 2014, it was found by TEPCO that some contaminated water in the Central Waste Building was transferred to the Incineration Building, which has been prepared as an emergency storage facility for contaminated water.
On 4 September, 2014, TEPCO found that the concentrated water* treated by Reverse Osmosis (RO) was leaking from a connection valve between A5 tank and A6 tank in the G4 South Tank Area.
On 2 June, 2014, NRA’s resident inspector found that contaminated water was leaking from the bolt portion of the two tanks in 4,000 tons notch tank group in the contaminated water tank area.
The water leakage was stopped by means of lowering the water level of the leaking tank by transferring the stored water of the leaking tanks to another notch tank.
The amount of the water, which leaked to the outside of dike was approximately 3.5m3.

On 17 December 2014, TEPCO found that treated water being transferred to the J6 Tank Area was leaking from an open end of a branch pipe connected to the main pipe.
While having an open end, the valve on the branch pipe was open. Closing the valve on the branch pipe stopped the leakage.
Approximately 11 m3 amount of water leakage occurred from a
pipe joint of desalination system (reverse osmosis membrane, RO-3) inside the temporary warehouse on 9 October, 2013.
The water has retained in the dike installed in the warehouse.
The radioactivity concentration of the leakage water was 34kBq/cm3 by totall beta nuclides.
Out of eleven workers who were working in the warehouse, six workers had radioactive material on their bodies, and five workers had no radioactive material on their bodies.
