Energy firms plan to incest around PLN 135 billion between 2008 and 2030, which will bring almost 22,000MW of extra power and, counting withdrawn power, a netto increment of nearly 6,700 MW, Energy Regulatory Authority (URE) President Mariusz Swora said Thursday quoting an inhouse survey.
"Our figures show that from 2008 to 2030 energy firms plan to spend about PLN 135 billion on raising electricity supply safety”, Swora told a press conference. He added that in real terms the planned investments promised to raise the industrial energy potential by 6,657MW in those years.
The URE survey shows that in 2008-2030 energy firms will supply a gross 21,890MW of electricity but will withdraw 15,133MW.
"The planned investments mainly concern coal-fuelled electric plants (over 19,000MW until 2030), gas-fuelled and wind-powered plants, and to a lesser degree biogas, water and biomass plants”, Swora declared, noting that none of the plants had declared the wish to erect a nuclear plant.
