Advice on nuclear power postponed

Wednesday, March 5, 2008

An influential advisory body has cancelled a press conference scheduled for Wednesday afternoon because it is divided on what advice to give the government on nuclear power, reports ANP news service.

A spokeswoman for the socio-economic council (SER) told ANP that the publication of its recommendations could be delayed for up to a week.

The SER committee looking into the role of nuclear power in the Netherlands includes representatives from employers' organisations, trade unions and environmental groups.
